The newest Melt location is the second for Columbus—the first opening in the fall of 2013 in the eclectic and artsy Short North district at the corner of North High Street and Hubbard Avenue. Earlier this spring, Melt also announced its partnership with Case Western Reserve University for a “Melt University,” set to open on campus this August.

The Easton Melt will be nestled in the new Easton Gateway, a 54-acre addition that is already home to Costco and REI, with DICK’S Sporting Goods, Field & Stream, Pies & Pints, Sak’s Fifth Avenue Off 5th and Whole Foods all slated to be open within the next year. With 500,000 square feet of space, Easton Gateway is aiming to enhance the already stellar shopping and dining experience of Easton.

“To be opening a second location in Columbus in just a year is an amazing feeling,” said Melt owner Matt Fish. “We are already in love with our Columbus fans and can’t wait to be a part of this new development in Easton. It’s definitely a chance to bring the Melt flair and personality—and, of course, food—to a whole new population, both local to and visiting the Easton neighborhood.”

Easton is a 1,300-acre mixed-use development comprised of hotels, athletic fields, ice rinks, office buildings and numerous shopping districts, including Easton Gateway. At the heart of the project is Easton Town Center, a 1.7-million-square-foot “New Urban” retail center that features more than 200 best-in-class retail, entertainment and dining tenants. Easton’s pedestrian-friendly common areas, parks and fountains host children at play, live music, dance, art fairs, celebrity appearances, carriage rides and many other community activities. The development draws more than 22 million visitors annually.
