Melt Welcomes Riki Rachtman for ‘RikiRides18 on Friday, July 27 to Benefit Stop Soldier Suicide

Riki Rachtman, known to many as the most identifiable host of MTV’s “Headbangers Ball,” will be rumbling into the Melt Bar and Grilled Independence location on Friday, July 27 on his yearly cross-country motorcycle ride for charity.

“To many, Riki Rachtman was, and still is, the face of Heavy Metal!” said Melt Bar and Grilled owner and founder Matt Fish. “Riki helped introduce tons of us to bands like Guns n’ Roses, Motorhead, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains,” said Fish, a musician himself, “So he’s a legend and we are stoked to welcome him to Melt!”

Rachtman’s cross-county motorcycle ride, called RikiRides18, benefits Stop Soldier Suicide, which provides mental health and PTSD referrals, emergency financial aid, housing assistance and alternative therapies for military, veterans, and their families. His goal is to ride 18,000 miles though the US to raise money and awareness for this organization. Joining him on his epic journey is world-famous tattoo artist, model and star of Season 1 of “Ink Masters,” Lea Vendetta.

“Riki loves Cleveland,” says Fish, “and here is your chance to hang out with him and return the love as he raises money for a great cause. To help the cause, Melt will be donating 15% of total sales on Friday, July 27th from 5pm to close.”

In addition to Rachtman’s stop at Melt, you can also bid on a once-in-a-lifetime eBay auction to join him and Lea at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday, July 28th. The winner will get to take 3 friends and hear stories from Riki about working with many of the acts on display and enshrined in the Rock Hall. To bid on this incredible experience, click here.
